Cutting-edge industry trends expected to have a significant impact in 2019 and beyond.

The survey report offers that 28.3% of manufacturers expect their annual growth rate to be superior to the predicted industry growth rate of 6.6%. As well, the survey presents insights on:

MONTREAL, Nov. 6, 2018 – Alithya Group inc. (TSX: ALYA) (NASDAQ: ALYA) (“Alithya”), a leader in strategy and digital technologies, today announced the successful completion of the previously announced business combination between Alithya Group Inc. (“Alithya Canada”), a Québec private corporation, and Edgewater Technology, Inc. (“Edgewater”), a Delaware corporation listed on the NASDAQ Global Market (NASDAQ: EDGW). Pursuant to the business combination, each of Alithya Canada and Edgewater became a wholly owned subsidiary of Alithya.

As a result, Class A subordinate voting shares of Alithya (“Subordinate Voting Shares”) will commence trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market (NASDAQ) and the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) under the ticker symbol “ALYA” on November 2, 2018.

Closing of Private Placement
On October 30, 2018, Alithya Canada closed its previously announced bought deal private placement where an aggregate of 11,736,055 subscription receipts were issued at a price of C$4.50 per subscription receipt (the “Offering”) for estimated gross proceeds of approximately C$52.8 million. Each subscription receipt automatically converted into an Alithya Canada common share prior to the closing of the business combination, and then exchanged for one Subordinate Voting Share upon closing of the business combination.

The Offering was completed through a syndicate of underwriters led by Desjardins Capital Markets, and including GMP Securities L.P., National Bank Financial Inc. and Echelon Wealth Partners Inc.

Desjardins Capital Markets also acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Alithya Canada in the context of the business combination.

("Edgewater Fullscope"), a leading provider of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (formerly Dynamics AX and CRM), a modern technology platform, has released the GDPR Management Solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement, which gives clients a robust set of tools to manage their compliance with key aspects of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), approved by the EU Parliament in April of 2016 and enforceable starting May 25, 2018.

The GDPR Management Solution extends relevant areas of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement (Dynamics CRM) core functionality to facilitate management of consent and data requests in an end to end process, storing an audit trail of key information and providing real-time reporting on compliance efforts.   1. GDPR requires management of data requests. The tools in the solution can be easily integrated with outgoing email campaigns and/or a customer self-service portal to track both the initial and ongoing efforts to obtain consent, again keeping a record of contact interactions.
  3. Customers wish to update and manage the data that is stored on them. The solution can be extended with the Microsoft Dynamics portal, or a third party portal solution. This allows customers to update their information directly, as well as submit data requests and receive updates on status of their requests.

Microsoft World Partner Conference 2014 -- Edgewater Fullscope, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Edgewater Technology, Inc. and leading provider of Microsoft Dynamics AX and CRM solutions to manufacturers, has announced the availability of Fullscope EDGE for AX, the latest industry solution designed to complement existing functionality in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 enterprise resource planning (ERP) for chemical, life sciences, pharmaceutical, food, medical device and consumer product goods (CPG) manufacturers.

"As we continued to develop this product, we realized its features were applicable to a broader base of process manufacturers with both regulated and non-regulated production environments," said Russell Smith, senior vice president of Fullscope. "As such, we renamed it from EDGE for Life Sciences & Pharma to EDGE for AX."

Existing features in EDGE for AX that have been updated for Dynamics AX 2012 R3 include Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPA), enhanced eSignatures, flexible/skip lot sampling plans, approved customer lists and vendor scorecards for quality. To help manufacturers meet specific U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements, new functionalities in EDGE for AX include:

  • Master Manufacturing Record (MMR) - Helps manufacturers document how each unique formulation is made, including product specifications, formula/BOM version(s), route(s) and quality requirements (FDA 21 CFR Part 111). 

  • Device Master Record (DMR) - Provides a compilation of specifications for every unique product confirmation, including production process, packaging and labelling, quality assurance procedures, installation, maintenance and service (FDA 21 CFR Part 820). 

  • Batch Production Record (BPR), Electronic Batch Record (EBR) or Device History Record (DHR)- Captures and creates complete information up to the point of shipment relating to the production and control of each batch, lot or unit of a regulated product, whether manufactured in bulk or as serialized products or pieces (FDA 21 CFR Part 111.255 and 21 CFR Part 820.184).

"In addition to several new features, we improved the overall CAPA experience in EDGE for AX," said Reddy Beeram, director of product development for Fullscope. "The CAPA functionality now works more seamlessly with the Dynamics AX 2012 security and worker framework. EDGE for AX is much more tightly aligned to the case management framework, which was a specific request from our customers. We believe EDGE for AX will ultimately make our customer's job easier."
