XrmToolBox is ready for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015

The ever popular XrmToolBox is now ready for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015, Microsoft MVP and project owner Tanguy Touzard has announced.

The new version has some important changes, Touzard writes in a new blog post. It uses the CRM 2015 SDK assemblies, so while it can still connect to CRM 2011 and 2013, it requires .NET Framework 4.5.2.

XRMToolBox packages are also now digitally signed, meaning people who download it can confirm that they are using the released build, not one altered by another developer. While existing users should have already received a notification on the release, newbies can try it out for themselves by downloading the package from CodePlex.

XrmToolBox is, as the name suggests, a collection of utilities maintained and made available in a common framework that can be used by Dynamics CRM consultants and administrators to better manage one or many CRM systems. The latest release contains 27 tools, including eleven with fixes and enhancements. As Touzard told us in 2013, he developed the first ten to fifteen tools himself and has since added utilities to the project that were developed by others.
