Dynamics Profile: Giving Back to the Community, One Dynamics CRM Tool at a Time

A four-time Microsoft Dynamics CRM MVP, Tanguy Touzard is always trying to make life easier for other members of the Dynamics CRM community.

Tanguy TouzardTouzard, a technical consultant for Dynamics CRM integration at Paris-based Microsoft partner Javista and a frequent blogger, develops tools that help developers to be more productive when they're customizing Dynamics CRM. His philosophy is simple: each tool should have one purpose in one file. Other tools are great but require installation, software prerequisites (like Visual Studio) or other things that make them less comfortable than a single file tool, he said.

"I have developed about 10 or 15 tools, and my aim was to be able to provide the tools in just one package. [My older] tools were [separated] and it was quite difficult for me to know what tools I was providing," he said.

So Touzard created the XrmToolBox to provide a single application to launch all the tools he had developed as well as to offer a faster way for others in the community to create new tools. The first outside plugin was added in February 2013.
