Beyond Fall 2014, Microsoft Dynamics CRM team plans Capptain integration, broader marketing reach
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM roadmap continues to move rapidly, with a number of product enhancements and new integrations coming in the Fall 2014 release wave and beyond. Dynamics CRM general manager Jujhar Singh updated CRMUG Summit attendees on Wednesday, also noting continued growth of the customer base, improving analyst ratings, and improving revenue for Dynamics CRM Online.
First, the top line numbers Microsoft likes to lead with on Dynamics CRM: The product has now seen 40 quarters of "double digit growth" and 80% year-over-year net seat growth for CRM. There are now 4.2 million CRM users, adding almost 1 million in the last year. The product has nearly doubled its revenue over the last two years and has seen a 200% increase in online partner revenue in the last two years.
The results "speak volumes to our cloud first approach," Singh said.
Singh also confirmed that the Dynamics CRM team is working to incorporate technology from the Capptain acquisition into the Dynamics CRM and Dynamics Marketing mobile strategy. He said his team is "working very closely with [the Capptain] team to understand how to use it in mobile solutions and in marketing side of the house."
Capptain provides response marketing solutions, with tools to help mobile and web apps analyze user behavior and respond by pushing targeted messages, announcements, information, or offers.
