D365 Marketing consent and Microsoft Bookings

Writing on her blog, Megan Walker noted that recently she worked with a client that's using Microsoft Bookings to allow someone to book a demo via a link on their website. Walker added that the client is also manually adding a new lead (or contact) to Dynamics 365.

As they’ve begun using D365 Marketing (Customer Insights Journeys), and the person is agreeing to terms and conditions when they book an appointment via Bookings, the question was, well how can we then get that back in to Dynamics to make sure that person is opted in for future marketing communication?

In her blog post, Walker explained in detail how to use Microsoft Bookings, take that booking, and turn it into a lead, as well as opt the person in for future marketing communications. However, she stated that she wasn't going to explain how to use bookings in this post as you can find that information in some of her other blog posts.

She also stated that although she's used Microsoft Bookings as the example, you could use the same concept to set compliance with other third-party tools and process the data back in D365.

D365 Customer Service: Dialer enhancements

On her blog, Dian Taylor wrote that the 2024 release wave 1 for D365 included some new features for the D365 customer experience apps.

In her blog post, Taylor discussed the new improvements to the dialer inside of D365 Customer Service.
