Fujitsu offers new Microsoft Dynamics AX industry solution for Japanese companies' overseas interests

Fujitsu has started rolling out three new solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX aimed at enabling Japanese companies to deploy ERP systems at their overseas locations as they expand.

Fujitsu will now offer a sales and service company solution; a cost management and analysis solution; and an automobile supplier solution to meet the needs of Japanese companies in their overseas regions and industries/business conditions.

These services, which will be offered on premise and through Fujitsu Cloud A5 for Microsoft Azure, to help companies build ERP systems for their businesses outside of Japan so they can meet the diverse needs of their customers, according to company officials. Customers will be able to use hybrid configurations that are combined with the on-premise or private cloud-based mission critical systems of their headquarters in Japan.

In 2014, Fujitsu entered into an alliance with Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd in the ERP field in Japan, and since then has sold Dynamics AX licenses and constructed systems for numerous customers, officials said.

Features of the new industry services include:

  • Solution for Sales and Service Companies - Fujitsu is offering business processes localized for each country to overseas sales companies and to firms contracted to handle overseas services. This will also companies to streamline bidding, project management, and sales activities.
  • Solution for Cost Management and Analysis -This service centralizes management of budgets, results, and simulation data to improve management quality. It also offers provides information for business analysis and profit management to help process-industry companies with precise cost and profit management.
  • Solution for Automobile Suppliers - This service implements features needed for transactions between auto suppliers and auto makers, including order acceptance and shipping-related functions (order intake, production planning, shipment planning, ...
