Microsoft Dynamics seeing good growth, cloud adoption says Kirill Tatarinov
Microsoft Dynamics is seeing continued growth, and Dynamics ERP cloud adoption in the SMB market is on the rise. That's according to Microsoft Business Solutions executive vice president Kirill Tatarinov, who participated in a live online interview last week with the weekly online broadcast CXOTalk.
The interview wasn't exactly a prelude to Convergence 2014, which begins on Tuesday, but for those who have attended the annual event over the last few years, many of the themes Tatarinov covered will sound familiar, around role-tailored product design, dynamic businesses, and the power of choice in deployment models. But as MBS improves its ability to deliver in some key areas, Tatarinov also suggested that Microsoft's role is not necessarily to blaze a trail in every technology trend, but to find ways to make it consumable by everyone and every business.
Early on, Tatarinov noted that the Dynamics business remains healthy. "Dynamics is at scale, growing quite significantly compared to the industry peers," he told hosts Michael Krigsman and Vala Afshar. In calendar year 2013, Dynamics grew 10 percent year over year. Dynamics CRM and AX grew at "strong double digits", a rate that Tatarinov describe as "good growth".
Dynamics GP and NAV are seeing a growing rate of cloud deployments, whether privately hosted or on Windows Azure. "That particular segment of our portfolio has grown 40 percent in the last year. There is a need and a desire to grow cloud ERP and we're there with a solution that is very well liked and received."
