Debugging agent sessions
On his blog, Stefano Demiliani wrote that in the latest AL language extension for Dynamics 365 Business Central 2026 release wave 1 (runtime 17.0), Microsoft introduced a new capability that allows developers to debug agent sessions directly from Visual Studio Code.
He stated that with this 17.x release, you can now attach to agent sessions and debug the AL code being executed within them.
Demiliani noted that to make this possible, Microsoft has added a new client type called Agent, along with two new launch configurations that let you connect to an agent session either on a cloud sandbox or on your own server.
He then explained how to debug an agent session in a cloud sandbox as well as in your on-premises environment.

On his blog, Ammolh Saallvi wrote that AI-powered coding assistants are changing how consultants work.
