WineDirect Acquires Elypsis Winery, adding Dynamics NAV to its direct to consumer wine services

WineDirect, which provides sales technology and fulfillment services to wineries, has acquired Elypsis Winery from Admiral IT, adding a Microsoft Dynamics NAV-based ERP solution to their portfolio.

Elypsis offers services ranging from enterprise resource planning (ERP), point of sale (POS), and customer relationship management (CRM). WineDirect offers services to enable wineries to sell more wine directly to consumers including e-commerce, fulfillment, telesales, financial management, point of sales (POS), as well as call center solutions.

Adding the Elypsis Dynamics NAV ERP solution will allow wineries to access all of WineDirect's services and manage more from one location, company officials said.

"Our goal is to help wineries sell more wine Direct-to-Consumer and with that in mind, we're putting together a full suite of services to enable them to manage their DTC business in a cost efficient manner," said WineDirect spokesperson Sheri Hebbeln. "ERP and POS are two very important components in building a true ‘one stop shop' for the wine industry."

The acquisition of the company and its Dynamics NAV solution now enables WineDirect to offer:

• An e-commerce platform supporting multichannel sales efforts, including Facebook commerce
• A complete tasting room point-of-sale solution, based on Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS)
• Mobile POS solutions for the iPhone and iPad supported by the WineDirect subsidiary Vin65
• Fulfillment technology including 24/7 online access to fulfillment operations with a two- to three-day bi-coastal shipping network and advanced temperature-control solutions
