The Top Six Misconceptions about CRM Mobility for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Lots of Microsoft Dynamics CRM users are curious about the possibilities of leveraging their smartphones for comprehensive use of CRM.

We speak with hundreds of prospective customers each month, and in responding to their questions and comments, find that many people researching the potential of CRM Mobility have preconceived ideas as to what it is, and is not, and what is possible or practical. There are many misconceptions about what CRM Mobility can and can't do.

CRM Mobility has progressed significantly over the past few years. Perhaps most important to keep in mind is that it's not just the Dynamics CRM experience from a workstation screen simply squeezed onto a smartphone, but rather a sophisticated entity unto itself. It can't necessarily do everything you can do with Dynamics CRM on your computer, but most people are surprised how they can leverage most CRM capabilities via a smartphone.  Many are also pleased to learn that there are many powerful capabilities available to smartphone users, that aren't available with Dynamics CRM on their computer, like multimedia data capture, geo-location, and accelerated access to critical data.

There are trade-offs to use of CRM via a workstation or laptop versus a smartphone.-obtaining certain advantages, and doing without certain capabilities. Organizations considering extending the capabilities of their Dynamics CRM solution to smartphones are wise to first get clear on their objectives and expected use case scenarios.  And then, with use cases in hand, they can explore how best to accomplish the objectives. This process may raise awareness of capabilities they are not even aware exist. Today's robust CRM Mobility products can be easily adapted and optimized to best address the unique characteristics of an organization's CRM solution and the desired user experience.
