Stratus Status: Architecture Updates and Pilot Deployments Precede Go-Live for Microsoft Dynamics NAV Browser Client

Earlier this year, Vjekoslav Babic of Microsoft Dynamics NAV consultancy Fortempo announced his latest project, Stratus, a web client for Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 and higher. The new tool uses web services to render a "100% native" web client for Dynamics NAV, meaning no plug-ins needed and no pre-installation of software on the client.

In a new blog post, Babic offered some information about the status of Stratus.

Babic said the company has started the official public test-drive and users who want to test it for yourself, can log on to www.stratusNAV.com and click on the Test Drive in the main menu. Babic added that the product is still in development and the company is still working on several important features.

"We have started several projects with customers, and we would like to have couple of tested cases before we go officially live," he said. "Last, but not least (definitely not least)-we have started negotiations with several telecom companies that are interested in providing Stratus as a cloud solution for small companies. With some of them we are very close to closing the deal, with some we have done pilots for months. Later this year we expect Stratus Cloud to be available in several countries worldwide."
