Keep your agents organized: Create file groups for better responses

On her blog, Dian Taylor wrote that when you're building agents in Copilot Studio, adding knowledge sources is key, and one of the easiest ways is by uploading documents. She noted that you can do this in two ways, depending on who will use your agent.

She stated that the first way is linking SharePoint or OneDrive sites, folders, or files; however, this option requires users to sign in, so it only works for internal agents.

Taylor explained that if your agent is public-facing and doesn’t need authentication, you can upload files directly into the agent’s knowledge section. She added that this option does support agents that have the user authentication set to "no authentication."

With the new preview feature, you can also group documents and add related instructions, making your agent even smarter. She noted that previously, you could upload documents but couldn’t organize them or add any instructions.
