Microsoft to update partner benefits packages, retire gold and silver in 2025

Microsoft launched new partner benefits packages in January 2024: Partner Launch Benefits, Partner Success Core Benefits, and Partner Success Expanded Benefits. And as part of that announcement, they kept the older gold and silver benefits in place and available for partners who had already achieved them.
Starting January 22, 2025, Microsoft is adding over 20 product licenses to their current partner benefits packages, including Copilot products, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft GitHub, according Microsoft VP for Partner GTM Julie Sanford. The most robust package, Partner Success Expanded Benefits, will include Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
The benefits package updates coincided with the announcement that Microsoft will not renew legacy gold and silver benefits, Microsoft Action Pack, or Microsoft Learning Action Pack after January 22. Sanford wrote:
