Hitachi Solutions America enhances time card functionality for extended field service

Hitachi Solutions America has announced the latest release of its Extended Field Service Time Card Module, a plug-and-play add-on for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service that lets users create, manage, and integrate technician time cards.

The version includes a user interface and different processes intended to make the solution easier for technicians, service coordinators, and approvers to use, according to company officials.

Hitachi Solutions Extended Field Service Time Card Module now includes capabilities aimed at improved usability, increased visibility, and streamlining processes. It also includes enhanced mobile and offline capabilities, improved sorting and labeling, and simplified time card IDs, officials said.

"Dynamics 365 Field Service is helping many field service organizations automate and streamline processes to support growing service as a profit center. Part of that solution is having time cards fully integrated into costing and billing systems," said Martin Boggess, vice president, manufacturing and field service at Hitachi Solutions America, in a statement.
