Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services June 2017 update adds test case sync from task recordings

The June 2017 update to Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services has been announced, and it adds the ability to synchronize task recordings as test case work items in your Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) project, among other updates.

Synced test cases will appear as child work items of a parent business process, and changes to task recordings will be reschronized, according to the announcement.

Task recordings were enhanced with the release of AX 7 (now Dynamics 365 for Operations and soon to become Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise) to go from simple task recording to guides that could interactively step users through key processes in real time.

The June update to LCS also includes:

  • Service flow updates that will prevent the deleting of packages that have been applied to an environment;
  • Changes to the filing, listing, and management of incidents;
  • New fields for describing a new issue.
