Writing on the ERP SoftwareBlog, Scott Jorgens stated that the potential for user adoption and ease of access to KPIs, business intelligence, custom reports and datamarts has improved significantly with the release and maturity of Microsoft Power BI.
In his blog post, Jorgens noted that Power BI works well with Dynamics GP and other on-premise data sources. He then explained exactly what BI is and the importance of telling a story with KPIs and dashboards via Power BI.
Additionally, Jorgens noted that embedding Dynamics GP Power BI Dashboards and KPIs in your organization can be used as a defined measure to how well your company is implementing and executing its business operations and strategies. In part 2 of his blog post Jorgens focused on implementing KPIs within your organization to enable you get more out of your investment in Dynamics GP with Power BI.
Jorgens talked about what makes a great Power BI dashboard and set of KPIs as well as supporting user adoption of dashboards and KPIs.
Finally, he included an instructional training video and demo on how to build your first Power BI dashboard with Dynamics GP for presenting sales results using Fabrikam data.
