Microsoft Dynamics CRM Vet Rick McCutcheon Joins Adxstudio
Veteran CRM consultant, trainer, and entrepreneur Rick McCutcheon has joined up with Microsoft Dynamics CRM-based independent software vendor (ISV) Adxstudio as a managing partner, taking an ownership stake in the Ontario operations of the company.
McCutcheon says he joined the company because he sees emerging growth opportunities that the Adxstudio management team plans to capitalize on with new features to its Portal product, an expanded business footprint and a build out of new sales and marketing capabilities. Based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, Adxstudio will be looking to McCutcheon to help expand its reach with a new office in the Toronto area, closer to a large segment of prospects.
Adxstudio offers portal and CMS solutions built upon Dynamics CRM and the Microsoft technology stack. Originally a CMS company, they got involved with Dynamics CRM about five years ago with CRM 3 and 4 and saw strong growth in their portal product line. The company currently has about 40 employees.
The business needs satisfied by Adxstudio Portal solutions fall into two categories, according to McCutcheon: the internal-facing portal for employees, existing customers, or partners with capabilities like registering technical support cases, managing a knowledge base, and maintaining calendars; and on the other side, the product can be used to create full-blown public web sites as xRM solutions, extending Dynamics CRM and its architecture.
Adxstudio licenses their basic portal software to Microsoft, who makes it available for all Dynamics CRM customers in the CRM SDK. But their full Portal product is their premium offering.
