Test driving a new Dynamics CRM Dev Tool for Chrome

On his Dynamics CRM blog, Salim Adamon takes a look at the new development tool that the Sonoma Partners team released last week. The tool, a Google Chrome extension, is compatible with CRM 2011 UR11+ and with CRM 2013. Adamon says it's a nice productivity booster for CRM developers.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • View current user information (domain name, user ID)
  • Form information (entity name, ID, type code and some nice features like show the hidden attributes on a form)
  • Execute Fetch XML statement and view the results

First Impressions of CRM 2013

Over at Hosk's Dynamics CRM blog, Ben Hosking took his first look at CRM 2013 recently and shares some impressions. He started a trial of CRM 2013 and he really likes the fact that there are no popups, which make things a lot smoother and it's easier to keep track of what you were doing without having to peek at the 10 Internet browsers.

Hosking wants you to know things are different, but he says that's not really a bad thing.
