Fluent v2.0 for customer service: a unified, modern experience
Writing on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM blog, Jessica Li and Kos Srivastava stated that Fluent v2.0 is Microsoft's next-generation design system, and it's now fully in place across all Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service components.
The authors noted that this update completes a major modernization effort and delivers a consistent, easy-to-use, and visually appealing experience for everyone who uses the system, including agents, supervisors, administrators, and customers.
Li and Srivastava wrote that Fluent v2.0 creates a consistent look and feel across Microsoft products, with a strong focus on clarity, accessibility, and brand consistency.
They pointed out that in D365 Customer Service, this shows up in several ways:
- Modernized hierarchy: Updated colors and shadow styles make it easier for users to understand screen layouts and move through tasks confidently.
- Intuitive iconography: Clean, modern icons make actions easier to recognize and interactions more approachable.
- Robust components: Fluent UI React components are flexible, fast, and accessible, making them easy to use and simple to integrate.
- Dynamic design tokens: Customizable themes and design tokens help keep the interface fresh while staying aligned with an organization's brand.
The authors then provided more information about Fluent v2.0 for customer service.
