Binding event subscriptions in Business Central

Writing on his blog, Brad Prendergast stated that in Business Central, wrote about event subscriptions, which let your extensions plug into the system's core logic without changing the base code.

After providing some fundamentals of the approach, he pointed out that there are times when you need more control over when your event subscriptions actually run. For example, in background sessions, when certain conditions must be met, or in codeunits where performance matters.

While people have used various approaches, Prendergast explained that dynamic subscription binding with Session.BindSubscription, Session.UnbindSubscription and setting the EventSubscriberInstance property to manual unlocks finer control over AL event handling, making your extensions more efficient and adaptable.

On his blog, Stefano Demiliani wrote that every Microsoft product now includes a built-in Copilot, and D365BC is no different.
