Microsoft Dataverse Search: A better way to traverse Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform data

January 25, 2022 was quite an exciting day for the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform family as Microsoft published its 2022 Release Wave 1 plans.

With these updates coming, it's also a good time to take a step back to ensure we have explored the amazing features within Power Platform and Dynamics 365 CRM in its 2021 release wave 2. From making Dynamics 365 Sales more advanced to bringing out some new capabilities in Power Platform like multi-tab side panes, Microsoft has kept the users pretty excited throughout the current wave.

Most of the updates in 2021 release wave 2 have been made generally available to the public, but some of the features, like deleting and removing disabled users, aren’t out yet. For a detailed calendar on what has been released and what is still in preview, visit the official document.

Dataverse Search

Dataverse Search, which has reached GA in the current wave, is a fast and comprehensive search method for model driven apps. It suggests results as you type, it includes search results for text in documents, notes and attachments stored in Dataverse and applies natural language to catch misspellings, common abbreviations, etc., to deliver quality results.
