MSDW Insight: Dynamics 365 CE customers using Copilot Cowork could soon get better perspective on the real value of Microsoft’s MCP servers for Sales and Customer Service

Microsoft has announced general availability of Copilot Cowork worldwide. The move follows three months of preview.

“We have been impressed by your creativity and what you have all built with it,” wrote Microsoft EVP Charles Lamanna.

Calling it the “fastest growing feature in the history of our Frontier program,” Lamanna stated that new features have been added for GA including model choice, extensibility through plugins, and new cost management controls.

Accessed through Micrsoft 365 Copilot, Cowork can expose plugins for specific tasks. Plugins for Fabric and Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, and ERP apps are now GA. Nine new partner plugins are available now from firms including Monday.com, Morningstar, and S&P Global Energy. Others are coming soon from vendors including Adobe, Atlassian, Box, and Databricks.

The Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service plugins that are now GA provide a “quality-validated set of prompts that run on out-of-the-box Dynamics 365 data”, according to Microsoft CVP for Dynamics 365 Customer Experience Deva Rajamohan. Those Sales and Customer Service plugins work on:

  • account and deal preparation
  • expansion signals
  • deal-progression guidance
