Microsoft Announces Dynamics Customer Excellence Awards Ahead of Convergence 2013

Microsoft has handed out its annual Customer Excellence Awards for Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM in advance of Convergence 2013 in New Orleans.  The sixteen awards range from industry and business excellence to productivity, technology innovation, and the cloud.

Aside from the winning Dynamics customers, the customer excellence awards are a chance for the affiliated partners to claim some recognition. This year, Hitachi Solutions America led the pack with four customer awards in the categories of Service Industry Excellence, Productivity (Customer Care, Sales Force Automation), and Enterprise Technology Innovation. Edgewater Fullscope was the only other multi-award partner, with two customers awarded for Manufacturing Industry Excellence and ERP Productivity.

(Correction: One winner, Mattress Firm (Retail Industry Excellence), had no partner listed but has in fact been partnered with Blue Horseshoe Solutions as well as working with Microsoft Consulting Services.)

Notable winners include CSX Transportation, Revlon, WeightWatchers, Chobani, and the Oklahoma City Thunder, among others.

Microsoft established the Customer Excellence awards in 1997.  The selection process is an internal Microsoft affair (though they do include external consultants in some elements of the awards process), with a two phase nomination process leading to the selection of about 75 finalists and eventually the 17 winners. Winners will be further recognized at Convergence.
