Microsoft has launched a preview of an insurance industry data model and related applications and reports for the Dynamics 365 Financial Services Accelerator. The updates include additions to the Common Data Model, new Power BI dashboards, and new pre-built applications created with Power Apps.

The new Common Data Model (CDM) entities for the insurance industry is aimed at property & casualty and life insurance and include things like coverage, policy document, policy term, claim, deductible, and agency, among several others that Microsoft principal program manager James Galvin described in a blog post about the new accelerator.
