The Case for Mobile Device Management for Office 365 with Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Dynamics

Microsoft on its MVP Award Program Blog published a compelling case for mobile device management (MDM) for Office 365 with Azure Active Directory.

There are two possible deployments; using the built-in MDM for Office 365, or upgrading with an Intune subscription to a higher level of security.

"For best practices if you have Office 365 you should use MDM for Office 365 or upgrade to Intune [for] security reasons. And if possible, use Multi-Factor Authentication, too," Office 365 MVP Nuno Silva (who authored the blog) of GFI told MSDynamicsWorld.com. He adds that you can also now use Windows 10 with Azure Active Directory.

Asked if Dynamics ERP or CRM partners should present Office 365 MDM as part of their app development plans, Silva says yes; particularly for security of data. Critical mobile architecture decisions like security and encryption can help make the case for MDM for O365, he adds.

Silva describes how MDM for Office 365 integrated with Azure Active Directory (AAD) is an enterprise-level identity and access management cloud solution.
