Build 2022: Microsoft to revamp portals solution as Power Pages
Microsoft’s portals solution, Power Apps Portals, will be re-born as Power Pages. The new offering which Microsoft announced at Build 2022, “is a low code development and hosting platform ideal for building business-centric websites.” It is now in preview.
In their announcement, Microsoft described the current product, Power Apps Portals, as “a feature within Power Apps” that will now become the fifth full-fledged member of the Power Platform family alongside Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.

As a new offering, Power Pages will offer additional tools and support resources that are now in preview. They include a design studio, access to site templates with demo data that cover common use cases, new training, new pro-dev tools, and security and governance tools.
But referring to Portals as a feature undersells its depth and legacy as a site-building platform.
