Microsoft has grown Dynamics 365 Field Service to over 400,000 users, according to the estimates of analyst firm Gartner. The firm recently upgraded Microsoft into the leader's quadrant of their Field Service Management Magic Quadrant, noting the rate of growth and improvements in the company's offerings..

The analyst firm attributes the rating change, which positions Microsoft alongside vendors including IFS, Salesforce, Oracle, and ServiceMax, to a range of factors including the growing feature set of D365 Field Service, and the strength of Microsoft's supporting and aligned services like D365 Remote Assist, the Power Platform, and Azure IoT.
