Step-by-step: deleting work orders (Dynamics 365 Field Service)
Writing on his blog, Nishant Rana stated that when you're working with old or test data in Dynamics 365 Field Service, it's common to need a cleanup, especially for outdated work orders and everything connected to them.
However, he added that deleting a work order isn’t always simple because there are many related records and built-in rules that can make the process more complicated than expected.
Rana wrote that's why you need to delete all work orders (msdyn_workorder) created before a specific date, along with their related records, including:
- Work order products
- Work order services
- Work order incidents
- Bookable resource bookings
- Time entries, service tasks, resolutions, and more
Rana then explained step-by-step how to delete work orders in D365 Field Service.
