Schlumberger launches OSDU-compatible data management solution on Microsoft Azure

Schlumberger and Microsoft announced an expanded partnership in the energy exploration and production space with the launch of the Schlumberger Enterprise Data Management Solution for the OSDU Data Platform.

The announcement comes on the heels of other recent collaborations with energy companies in Europe and follows Schlumberger's adoption of Azure for its DrillPlan and Petrotechnical Suite in September, 2019.

The companies stated that the launch will be followed with more developments. They will continue to "enhance the Enterprise Data Management Solution, tighten integration with OSDU and develop new scalable data ingestion capabilities, unified AI templates and domain services," according to a statement.
