Inspire 2018: Microsoft expects to add sixteen more countries to Dynamics 365 Business Central in 2018

Microsoft and its partners plan to bring at least sixteen more countries onto Dynamics 365 Business Central through the end of 2018.

Reporting from Inspire 2018, Microsoft MVP Alexander Ermakov of Awara IT has documented several details of the Business Central roadmap, including the (already planned) brand unification with NAV for on-premises deployments starting in fall 2018 and a new effort to position the theme of "Intelligent Edge" in the context of (presumably new and improving) hybrid cloud scenarios involving Azure and on-prem Dynamics ERP solutions (NAV, GP, Business Central on-prem, and others).

Country availability beyond the previously announced localization plans for Fall 2018 will be a mix of Microsoft-supplied countries like Norway, Iceland, and Mexico, and twelve partner-led versions: Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Singapore, UAE, South Africa, Philippines, Poland, Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

Russia is still in the works, with different considerations for cloud and on-prem, reports Ermakov:

Russian localization is not yet in the roadmap for the cloud version. There are still discussions about legal things, but good news [is] that the release of on-premises ...
