Microsoft has launched Dynamics 365 Business Central, its newest SMB ERP offering, in Australia and New Zealand. In addition, a non-localized version of the product is now ready for partners to use to build other localizations.

As a successor to Dynamics NAV, Business Central is sold through the Cloud Solution Provider program by Microsoft partners.

Partners can now create their own localizations of Business Central for countries not on Microsoft's official list, as some have done already with verions of Dynamics NAV. With Business Central, the approach will utilize the product's updated architecture and AppSource. A spokesperson explained:

We are providing a non-localized version of Business Central based on the availability of our partner channel's investments in localizations built using the Business Central extensions model and delivered via Microsoft AppSource.  As such, as partner-led localizations become available, Business Central will be available in those countries via CSP.

Microsoft first launched Dynamics 365 Business Central in fourteen geographies in April 2018 - United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, and Finland.

Today's announcement is mostly in line with guidance Microsoft has been offering to partners on release plans, which had set a July 1 date for those two countries, as well as the W1 release.

More information on global release plans are expected around Microsoft Inspire later in July.
