Microsoft Dynamics CRM GM Fred Studer departing as MBS reshuffles marketing management
Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS), the division responsible for Dynamics ERP and CRM, is undergoing changes in the upper levels of its marketing team.
Fred Studer, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics CRM has left Microsoft to "pursue other opportunities" a spokesperson tells us. And other leaders will be shifting into new and updated roles.
Studer joined Microsoft 7 years ago and had been a part of the Dynamics team since 2011, focusing first on Dynamics ERP products before moving over to the CRM business in August of 2013. He has been highly visible at high profile events, in videos, and in blog posts and articles.
In his time with MBS, Studer has exceled at crafting and communicating a lively and compelling vision for the Dynamics products, and he has done it in an engaging way, like in this friendly conversation from a couple years ago. And here's a piece with a higher production value:
Studer's dynamic presentation style and ability to frame the MBS product vision has been received as almost too polished and lacking in depth. Studer seems to have had less of a role when analysts, reporters, partners, or other stakeholders wanted to press someone at Microsoft on more challenging conversations in a private or semi-public forum. As a result, most people we have spoken with in the Dynamics ecosystem report having limited familiarity with Studer beyond his formal communications and appearances.
