YMCA of St. Paul and Minneapolis Improves Financial Reporting and Operational Efficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP

Boyer & Associates, a provider of business management solutions for mid-size businesses, has completed an ERP financial management project for the YMCA of Greater St. Paul and Metropolitan Minneapolis.

Boyer implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP to update the YMCA's legacy-based financial management system so the non-profit could consolidate financial information across the organizations, improve budgeting and forecasting capabilities and streamline financial reporting, according to the company.

"Our legacy based software lacked integration with other solutions, was difficult to maintain and lacked the financial reporting capabilities we needed," said Greg Waibel CFO at the YMCA of Greater St. Paul and Metropolitan Minneapolis, in a statement.

Waibel said the new solution lets the YMCA access accurate financial information across the organization in real time and offers deeper insight into budgeting and forecasting. He said the YMCA can now drill-down into the data quickly and produce the financial reports it needs to keep its team and board members informed.

Since deploy Dynamics GP, the YMCA's accounting team has experienced greater operational efficiencies and significantly reduced the time it takes to close the books each month, he said.

In addition, the organization integrated its custom purchasing and inventory management program with Microsoft Dynamics GP to help manage the various kit materials offered for YMCA programs, Waibel said.
