How to Use the Microsoft Translator Inside Microsoft Dynamics CRM v4: The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Team Blog provides a helpful post with the steps required to include the Microsoft Translator custom button on a form, how to call the service and how to set the language of both the source and target text: "This customization is designed to call the ‘Microsoft Translator' service from within CRM. This example uses a custom button, included in an entity form, to call the service and translate text (which has been selected by the user) into another language."
Safety First: Facts About Sharing Records: Richard Knudson's Dynamics CRM Trick Bag offers helpful advice on assigning and sharing records:
"Most records in Dynamics CRM (and certainly the most commonly used ones, such as accounts, contacts, opportunities, cases and activities) are so-called user-owned records. This just means they are assigned to a user; in Dynamics CRM-speak these records have an "Owner" field which provides a lookup to the list of users. If a user is assigned as the Owner of a record, we can informally say that the record is "assigned" to that user.
