How’s this for the ultimate Dynamics consulting assignment: implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX for a division of Microsoft.

It’s an assignment that Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited of India, says it successfully implemented at the Microsoft Business Solutions division.

This project involved a transformational global Implementation serving 242 countries through five locations across the world, leading to standardization and harmonization of business processes across the organization,” according to a Wipro press release. “With the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX, the processes of managing revenue deferrals, royalty payouts, and credit & collections have been simplified and consolidated across the various Microsoft regional operating centers. This has also ensured standardized processes and controls to help enforce compliance, including regional regulatory invoicing mandates.”

Sounding much like the customers it often quotes in its own press releases announcing satisfied customers, Microsoft's Klaus Holse Andersen, CVP MBS Sales and Operations, stated: "We are seeing significant productivity increases in managing revenue deferrals, royalty payouts and credit & collection processes."

The announcement added that “the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX has meant that key finance and credit & collections data is now available real-time and in a single source, thus creating a more dynamic environment for the Finance, Invoicing, and Credit & Collections teams, to interact with both their internal customers and partners.”
