Three Successful Go-Lives Signal Dynamics NAV's SMB Strength, Says Partner

To come back from Christmas and New Year and take three Microsoft Dynamics NAV clients straight into a go-live could be seen as a brave move for a solution provider. Microsoft partner TVision Technology managed to do just that this January. And, says sales and marketing director Nicki Stewart, the results demonstrate what is possible in a major system update.

A smooth and seemingly simple go-live does not happen by accident. As Stewart and TVision senior NAV consultant Jason Bradley explained to MSDynamicsWorld.com, there are some critical organizational qualities and skills that contribute to a successful NAV project. 

TVision Technology is a Microsoft Gold Partner that offers Microsoft Dynamics NAV exclusively. The company has carved out a niche in the wine business with its Dynamics NAV-based The Wine System. But none of these New Year projects involved wine. The three projects included:

  • PackPost, a UK-based international mailing provider, which upgraded to the current release. It first implemented Dynamics NAV in 2002 with TVision Technology as a partner.
  • Lodge Brothers, a funerary services provider with more than 40 locations, which transferred to TVision Technology to manage their re-implementation onto the latest version of NAV.
  • A&O IT, an international IT services provider, which engaged TVision last year to rapidly implement NAV as a replacement to a legacy system; the solution, embracing finance and stock, was delivered in two months.
