Sonoma Partners Releases Vibe, Social Solution For Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Microsoft Dynamics CRM reseller Sonoma Partners has formally launched Vibe, an application that bring added social networking features Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Vibe combines the power of Microsoft Dynamics CRM with the popularity of social networking, the company said. Sonoma, which originally used Vibe internally, is now offering the tool free of charge to its customers. 

Vibe merges useful features of social media with internal project management to help CRM customers learn about sales leads and stay current on the status of a project, according to the company. Part Twitter, part Facebook, Vibe builds communities among Microsoft Dynamics CRM users, inviting them to subscribe to individual and group feeds, according to company officials. Accessing relevant data in a familiar format encourages users to up their CRM usage and helps them to work more quickly, the company said. 

Microsoft recently deployed the Vibe in its Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online division. 

"Vibe is a true innovation for Dynamics CRM users," said Laura Robinson, CRM Sales Technology Specialist, Microsoft, in a statement. 

Robinson said as an internal collaboration tool Vibe lets her team to connect in a more meaningful, social manner. She said it allows team members to have authentic conversations about business, share expertise, and also consume relevant notifications from CRM.

"Vibe will have a major positive impact on how we work," she said.

The Vibe release comes shortly after the much talked about formal release of Chatter by Salesforce.com.  And according to Sonoma Partners' Ryan Toenies in a May blog post, before Chatter was released, the two stack up very closely.  "The takeaway - If you're looking at CRM applications ...
