Professional Advantage prepares new release of Collections Management for Microsoft Dynamics GP

With the transfer of Collections Management for Microsoft Dynamics GP back to its creator, Professional Advantage, the company is preparing for the release of a new version on June 1 with a range of improvements.

The new release will use collection plans to automate collection steps, integrates with non-GP invoicing systems, offers Quick Start setup wizards, and improves reporting.

The transfer of control back to Professional Advantage is part of Microsoft's ongoing strategy with Dynamics GP 2013 to return Microsoft Dynamics add-on solutions back to the original ISVs.

"The transition should be seamless and Professional Advantage is enhancing the solution beginning June 1. The features they are delivering will be available in both Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 and Dynamics GP 2013," said Errol Schoenfish, Director Product Management at Microsoft, during a recent Microsoft webinar.

Some of the new features will most likely change the way customers approach their collection processes, said Brent Hitterdal, General Manager, Professional Advantage, during the webinar.

"There are a lot more options coming in the June 1 release to automate things and you'll have a lot less manual intervention so you can spend a lot more time instead of looking for a contact and trying to attaching an invoice to email, this system will automate a lot of that for you," he said. "This system will tell you who should be contacted next, and it will automatically send emails."

Although Collections Management has always had queries to target customers as well as send emails and invoices, customers still had to do some work manually to get things going, Hitterdal said.
