Power Summit Phoenix Preview: Getting the most out of Power platform insights
Sue Whitney, general manager for the PowerApps and Microsoft Flow user groups at Dynamic Communities spoke with MSDW about how to get the most out of Power Summit in Phoenix, from October 15-18, 2018. (Note: MSDW is a media sponsor at the Summit 2018 user group events.)
MSDW: Can you share some more details about the upcoming Power Summit event?
Sue Whitney: Overall, at the User Group Summit event, we're looking at having over 6,800 people attending with 350 exhibitors. Conference registration gets you into any session you want. This year, with people upgrading and moving to cloud, there will much more overlap. You might be registered for CRMUG Summit, but may be very into Power BI, and it gets you into that side too. Expect deep-dive sessions, content from Microsoft MVPs and live demos with the product. If you have something you can't quite get to work, there are phenomenal "medic" volunteers who you can pose technical questions.
Power Summit showcases products and services with a sizable Microsoft representation, networking events and a kick-off welcoming all attendees.
We also have a huge presence of our local cChapter and User Group leaders. On the Dynamics side of the family, our local Chapter presence is very large. Back in your region, it's a great chance to learn in-person, without costs of travel. On the Power Platform side, many new User Groups have been launched, holding, at minimum, quarterly meetings to bring people together.
