At NRF Big Show 2015, Dynamics ERP partners shows off digital retail vision driven by Microsoft technology

As part of its NRF Big Show 2015 presence, Microsoft announced partnership updates for how Dynamics will integrate (separately) with Sitecore and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions for retailers. But Microsoft technology, including Dynamics AX and NAV, will be on display in other ways this week to show retailers what's possible today.

Avanade and Accenture are hosting a Retail Store Innovation Lab to demonstrate how digital information and innovation can transform retail and captivate customers.

"We've created an invitation-only digital store innovation lab," says John Konczal, Marketing Leader for Enterprise Software and Services, Avanade. "Right now we have thirty-seven retailers coming through to see the lab. What the lab does is show how digital technology can be utilized within the retail store and how to make it more compelling for the customer, empower store associates, and make the job of the store manager easier."

The approach highlights the digital and cloud-based capabilities that are part of the company's Connected Retail Experience, Konczal says. These capabilities, developed using Microsoft technology, demonstrate ways to improve customer engagement, and deliver seamless shopping, personalized attention, and memorable interactions.

The lab includes a range of re-imagined retail experiences. For example, Avanade has helped a Scandinavian retailer create an interactive digital storefront sign for interacting with customers out of hours. And it's helping a large US retailer digitize its fitting rooms to provide an interactive experience with enhanced customer services.
