New Hampshire DMV taps Dynamics CRM and MOVES in new push for integrated government services

Microsoft partner Tech Mahindra Ltd., an IT firm based in India, has been tapped by the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to implement its Motor Vehicle Enterprise System (MOVES), a Microsoft Dynamics CRM-based solution. The solution will replace and modernize the New Hampshire DMV's existing 30-year-old IBM mainframe environment.

The value of the 22-month deal is $7.8 million, according to public information from the N.H. Department of Safety, which includes the DMV. The MOVES system will interface with J-ONE (Justice - One Network Environment), a system being implemented by the New Hampshire Department of Safety. J-ONE will allow the courts and Division of Motor Vehicles computer systems to be more compatible.

The New Hampshire DMV was looking for a way to operate more efficiently and decided that Tech Mahindra's Dynamics CRM-based MOVES solution provided a framework that could be customized to fit its needs, according to Rick Bailey, Director, Division of Motor Vehicles, State of New Hampshire.

The MOVES solution will enable the New Hampshire DMV to digitally manage all driver licenses, financials, financial responsibility, hearings, inventory, dealers, and inspection stations, explained Arvind Malhotra, head of strategic accounts at Tech Mahindra.

"MOVES will replace the DMV's entire legacy application that they would have for DMV administration," Malhotra said.
