Microsoft Updates Roadmap on Dynamics 365 Marketing app for SMBs

Microsoft Dynamics Roadmap 

Microsoft has updated its Dynamics 365 Roadmap site with more details on the Dynamics 365 Business Edition Marketing app's "in development" feature set.

Alert Dynamics professionals have taken note of the updates, which range from email marketing to lead nurture tools to LinkedIn integration to event management. The focus areas reflect Microsoft's stated goal of providing more targeted and pre-built tools for the Business Edition app compared to, for example, the broader CRM/XRM capabilities in the Enterprise Edition sales and customer service apps.

Externally connected lead generation appears to be making a serious comeback in the Marketing app. LinkedIn, email, web landing pages, and webinars can all be tied into the app and connected to processes, entities, and related tools. For example, companies that use LinkedIn's Lead Gen Forms capability can connect it to Dynamics 365 (using an additional app) to do further lead nurturing.

And "Marketing Pages" allows marketers to create no-code, drag and drop landing pages, something that had not been available out of the box in Dynamics CRM for some time.
