Microsoft Targets Salesforce Customers with ‘Cloud CRM for Less’

As Salesforce.com's annual event, Dreamforce, opened today in San Francisco, Microsoft is taking direct aim at Salesforce.com's customers with a new rebate offer of up to $200 per user for companies that switch to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online by June 30, 2011. The offer also applies to current Oracle customers.

"If you are looking for a CRM system that will deliver productivity for your people, offer flexibility to your business and work with your existing IT investments, you should consider Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online," said Michael Park, corporate vice president, sales, marketing and operations, Microsoft Business Solutions, in an "open letter" to Salesforce.com and Oracle customers. 

In the letter, Microsoft announced the "Cloud CRM for Less" offer for those customers. The offer can be applied for services such as migrating data or customizing the solution to meet unique business needs, according to Park. 

The new offer does have limits:  a subscription of at least 15 seats and a two year licensing agreement for Dynamics CRM Online.

In the letter Park said customers that have already made the switch from other solutions like Salesforce.com have discovered that Dynamics CRM Online is easier to use, adds value to the technology investments they've already made and delivers greater business insight.

For example, he said since switching from Salesforce.com, Data Reduction Systems has cut users cost by 50% and reached 100% user adoption. And just one month after switching CRM systems, Park said Smead reduced annual subscription costs by 75% and increased user adoption by 20%. Additionally, Park said both companies improved business intelligence and collaboration.
