Microsoft moved Dynamics GP to the Modern Lifecycle policy in 2021, and with that move they promised a roadmap that would extend to 2028 and beyond.

Today, Microsoft VP for Dynamics 365 Business Central and SMB revealed that updates and product enhancements for Dynamics GP will end on September 30, 2029. Extended support will continue through April of 2031, which will provide customers with support and security updates.

“For most folks, the date to concentrate on is September 30, 2029,” he told Dynamics Communities CEO John Siefert in an interview released today.

Morton acknowledged that GP has served its customers well, and that it has influenced Business Central in areas like SmartLists, statistical accounts, and multi-company reporting.
