The news highlight of Microsoft Convergence 2010 seems likely to be the formal introduction of Dynamics GP 11 (aka, "GP 2010").

That's the message coming out of several videos posted by Microsoft personnel promoting the upcoming Convergence conference scheduled to be held in Atlanta April 24-27.

Varun Krishna, a senior executive communications manager, describes briefly on one video his efforts to help prepare the keynote speech being given by Stephen Elop, president of the Microsoft Business Division. He says he can't divulge details of the speech, except that it will include much about "the launch of a whole new version of Dynamics GP."  (We have published several articles about Dynamics GP 11, including this and this.)

In the most recent update on the Dynamics Community's YouTube channel, Product Manager Pam Misialek confirmed that Microsoft will be launching GP 2010 at the Convergence general session for GP with a first formal look at the new features. The GP track lineup will include 50 concurrent sessions and 30 interactive discussions and with an eye toward comparing GP 10 and GP 2010.

Errol Schoenfish, Director of Product Management for GP, discusses in his video on Convergence the "tremendous excitement in the marketplace" over the upcoming version of Dynamics GP. His message is directed at partners, whom he encourages to take advantage of a "sell-one-get-one-free" promotion of Dynamics GP.
