Product Configurator 3.7 for Business Central now available

Insight Works, a provider of add-on solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, has released Product Configurator version 3.7. It includes enhancements to further streamline the creation of production bill of materials (BOMs) and routings for all-size businesses.

The app aims to give users the tools they need to create accurate quotes and orders, develop production BOMs and routings, define product categories and options, and boost productivity and profitability via automation, according to the company.

"The new features in Product Configurator 3.7 are a testament to our dedication to continuous innovation, ensuring that our clients remain ahead of the curve in a competitive market," said Brian Neufeld, director of marketing at Insight Works.

Transparity acquires Microsoft data specialist DataShapa

U.K.-based Transparity Solutions Limited has acquired Microsoft data and AI specialist DataShapa, a consultancy focused on data, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence solutions for enterprise customers.

The acquisition allows Transparity to add extensive additional skills across its Azure, Microsoft security, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 focus areas, while DataShapa's clients are able to take advantage of Transparity’s capabilities across the Microsoft Cloud portfolio, according to the companies.

Backed by Beech Tree Private Equity, Transparity currently has 220 employees across the U.K. The company plans to increase its staff to more than 300 in next two years, in part by continuing to focus on acquiring other companies to widen its reach and depth across the Microsoft Cloud.

Linda Collins, president of Western Computer, announces retirement after 36 years of service

Linda Collins, president of Western Computer, a reseller of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and ERP systems and Gold certified cloud solution provider, will be retiring after 36 years of dedicated service.
