Printing PDF Reports in Classic Without External Components

On Magno's Blog about Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Joachim Carrein, asked if you've ever had a customer who wanted you to email his invoice as a PDF when they didn't have/use RTC and work in the Classic Client. The answer was probably yes, he guessed.

Carrein figured you probably used an external component or PDF printer, and hoped that it would print and you could sent the correct PDF file. Recently a customer asked him to email an invoice as a PDF. He said the client had a 3.60 database (the old form menu), but was technically already on a 2009 R2 version.

"You know you can save a report as PDF on the RTC client, but not on the Classic Client. However, there was no NAV Service installed for the Client. After checking their license, I saw that they did have permission to run a Dynamics NAV Server."
