Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Beta Release Comes Amid Changes to SMB Business Models, Product Manager Says

In a blog post announcing the beta release of a Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013, Microsoft senior director of ERP product management Paul White positioned NAV 2013 as a solution geared toward changing business models in small and mid-market businesses with a focus on optimizing operations, controlling costs, and outsourcing.

He writes:

"As business models change SMB's need their business solutions to support them.  We're committed to ensuring that ours do.  Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 is a significant step forward in this regard as it combines business process, communications and collaboration capabilities to dramatically change the extent to which business applications support SMB business operations. "

Along with the high level messaging from Microsoft that was already available, some NAV experts are starting to share more of the low level details they are seeing in the product.  Kine's Info shares new features of NAV 2013 C/Side, including new commands for calculating FlowFields, security filtering, .NET interop, code coverage, and more.
