Troubleshooting Workflow 2.0 Email Notifications

On the Dynamics GP Support and Services blog Lance Koplin explained what to do if you're not receiving email notifications even though you set up a new workflow.

The first thing you should do is look at your Workflow Setup window. He said the section "Enable E-Mail for Workflow" contains the fields that you have to fill in to get the system to send the email notifications. He noted that if you're not sure what info to enter, you might have to get it from your Exchange admin.

The once you've entered the information into the fields, you can click the Test E-Mail button, which will open the Test Workflow E-Mail window. Next, you can enter in any valid email address and then click the Sent Test E-Mail button.

"If you receive this test email, you know that the setup is correctly configured. If you do not receive a Test E-Mail, you will want to download the CodePlex EWSEditor tool."
