Conquering the chaos of batch posting in Dynamics GP
An author writing on the CAL Business Solutions blog stated that encountering errors when you're trying to post your well-constructed batch doesn't have to mean disaster. The author noted that the batch edit list feature can enable you to post your batch successfully.
In the blog post, the author walked readers through the steps to run a batch edit list in Dynamics GP in general ledger, accounts payable, accounts payables checks, accounts receivable, cash receipts and sales order processing to ensure you’re equipped with the know-how to address errors.
#GPPT company login filter has removed all companies
Writing on the Winthrop Development Consultants blog, David Musgrave noted that GP Power Tools has a feature called company login filter that was created to allow users to control the companies they select based on the application configuration used to launch Microsoft Dynamics GP.
It has a number of other features, such as controlling the order of the companies listed and optionally showing the database name for the company, but if configured incorrectly it does have the ability to block access to the application by removing access to all the companies.
In his blog post, Musgrave explained how the company login filter works. However, he noted that the company login filter can lock you out of Dynamics GP when no companies are enabled. The company login window will say "company login filter has removed all companies."
Musgrave then provided the solution to the problem.
